In late October I saw all this brand new fencing stored in preparation for building the Christmas Market It got me wondering? what is the collective noun for fencing? Google says there isn't one because fences "aren't that kind of noun" - but I'm still thinking there should be. Maybe it could be "corral" - because corral fences are using for rounding up animals, which do have official collective nouns, so there would be a certain circularity of nomenclature!
Anyway - the above fencing collection was stored in Eyre Square, Galway in October 2025. And by the time I'm writing this, it's been transformed into a bustling market-space.
